PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

GUI Based Hotel Management System (C++, TURBOC) Sep 05-Jan 06

Developed a simple keyboard controlled GUI based system sufficient in management of a simple

hotel. Used file handling for storing data.

Air Ticket Reservation System (Java, Eclipse, MS-ACCESS) Sep 08-Dec 08

Developed an airline booking application that can be installed on ticketing counter at an airport, and

had functionalities like user management, flight management & scheduling, seat enquiry & booking.

Used client-server architecture along with AWT, SWING, JDBC and RMI.

Time-table Management System (C# .net, MS-ACCESS) Jan 09-May 09

This project was to automate the management of Time-table in a college i.e. creation, generation and

conflict resolution. Worked on UI designing, development of some core modules and documentation.

Camera Mouse (MATLAB) Nov 09-Feb 10

This project was much more inspired by Sixth Sense Technology, MIT Media Labs. Project recognizes

the gestures of movement of finger (with a colored cap on it) in front a webcam, then it accordingly

moves the mouse pointer on the screen and can also generate a mouse click. Also user can draw

something in MS-Paint just using finger without using mouse. As this project had dependency on

camera and the lighting effect of environment, so gesture recognition was approximate. Project was

of less practical use because of these constraints, but it was a great experience.

Operating System (C++,C) Sep 09-May 10

This was my B.Tech final year project. Designed and assembled a small Operating System with its

independent bootloader, file system, some hardware drivers, a CUI that can accept few very basic

commands as supported by other operating systems. As it was a very big project so instead of writing

code for everything I copied many portions of the code from some open source libraries. In this OS,

bootloader is written in ASM & kernel is based on VC++ framework with libraries in C and C++.

SUMMER TRAININGS

Undergone a training program based on .net technologies organized by HP at IIT Kanpur (June

3rd,2008 to July 13th,2008)

PROJECT: ONLINE SHOPPING CART (ASP.net, MS-ACCESS)

This was a small shopping website based on web 1.0 standard with a good looking interface like a

professional website. I handled front-end of the website (Master Page and content holders) and also

used CSS and JavaScript.

Undergone a 45 days training on Embedded Systems, Robotics, PCB Design and Automation

organized by Simplifix Automations & Systems (BRiCS workshop) at IIT Kanpur (June 8th,2009 to July

23rd,2009)

PROJECT: LINE FOLLOWER CUM MAZE SOLVER ROBOT

Designed this robot along with two other team members, using AVR series Atmel's AtMega16 as

microcontroller. This robot follows a black line and can solve a typical maze of black lines on a white

surface. We used WinAVR, CV-AVR and SynaProg as the development/deployment tool.
