Coordinate the efforts of defense contractors, a governmental maintenance activity and my own team to make repairs to ship's heavy machinery, formally test and deliver four 1000kW emergency diesel generators and four ship's steering units. Oversee the managers of three major work centers, responsible for the maintenance and operation of four aircraft elevators, four 1000kW emergency diesel generators, four steering units, two 30-ton anchor windlasses, one incinerator, a boat crane, seven capstans, 13 fire pumps and fire suppression equipment. Monitor the health of the preventative maintenance program and actively identify and correct inadequate or ineffective operating procedures.

- Paved the way for ship's steam plant testing regiment to start on-time by driving the formal testing and delivery of four 1000kW emergency diesel generators required for critical reactor operations.

- Saved 50 man hours per week on scheduling maintenance and routing work permits by implementing a program that highlights and prioritizes critical work, communicates it to key players, and executes work permits in batches.

- Contributed to the successful completion of the Post Overhaul Reactor Safeguards Examination through proper recordkeeping, organization and implementation of a training program for subordinates. Received personal accolades from the Commanding Officer and Inspection team for supervisory ability during this major inspection.

Propulsion Plant Watch Officer 2008 - Present

Lead a watch team in the operation of a dual reactor propulsion plant during an extended maintenance period and steam plant testing.
