WORK EXPERIENCE:
03/2012 - Present COVIDIEN, San Jose
R&D Technician
Built prototype of the Peripheral Infusion System (Athena). Assembly processes include Pebax extrusion thermal infusion, UV-cured adhesive bonding, and balloon installation.
Device quality test includes balloon burst/leak test, balloon static pressure test, balloon attachment test, proximal & distal junction tensile test, and extrusion twist test.
Performed DVT (Design Verification Test) after sterilization, environmental conditioning, and transportation. TMV (Test Method Validation) for product Critical to Quality (CTQ) specifications including: drive unit stall torque, catheter wave amplitude, extrusion torque.
Trained and certified line operators on all assembly processes to build peripheral infusion devices. pressure, apposition length and volume, device infusion volume and endurance balloon.
Complied with STM (Standard Test Method), TP (Test Protocol) and other quality documentation. Maintained all work performed in a laboratory notebook (quality document) per company procedures.
Operated Instron tester, MicroVu tester, Balloon Bonding Fixture, UV Curing Fixture, Solder Station and other custom built test fixtures.
