Responsible for planning daily work assignments for 11 electrical technicians over 4 shifts. Plan and implement electrical installation projects, including installation and startup of Hi-Vac system. Installed PLC controlled system for controlling water treatment within plant to achieve chlorine removal of incoming city supplied water system. Installed PLC controls for wastewater flow to city treatment facility. Installed PLC controls for stand-alone machines for drying of fabric, napping of fabric and chemical transfer to individual dye machines. Assist in troubleshooting HK system automated storage and retrieval system, employee problem solving and training.
2005-2007

Manage Maintenance Department consisting of 11 maintenance technicians, 1 supervisor and 1 clerk. Responsible for department budget and planning. Maintain preventive maintenance program using CPMS software development. Schedule training for maintenance technicians. Plan and initiate capital projects for plant. Employee discipline and problem solving. Make modifications and improvements to PLC programs for equipment. Perform programming of Allen Bradley operator interface panel view to track usage of raw materials and production counts for production reporting. Report to Plant Manager.
2003-2005
Maintenance Manager, Sara Lee Bakery, Decatur, Georgia
Responsible for plant maintenance and continuing improvements over three shifts. Managed three shifts of supervisors and assistants. Responsible for preventive maintenance program using SAP. Responsible for budget tracking and controls. Assisted in troubleshooting problem areas and making improvements in machinery and components to reduce downtime. Made changes to preventive maintenance routines to include predictive maintenance to reduce or eliminate component failures. Responsible for capital projects and expenditures.
2001 - 2003
Maintenance Manager, Harlan Bakeries, Indianapolis, Indiana
Maintenance activities over two of four six-hour shifts utilizing Data Stream Mp2 CMMS system. Put PLC documentation in place (over 60 stand-alone systems) and imported descriptors into ladder logic for ease of troubleshooting. Made sure all electrical prints were up to date and available. Responsible for improving Fanuc Robotic palletizing area. Reported to Director of Engineering
2000 - 2001
Maintenance Superintendent, Sara Lee Bakery, Greenville, South Carolina
Managed a maintenance department consisting of 10 maintenance mechanics over three shifts. Able to lower down time from a rate of over 4% to less than 3% for the fiscal year ending July 1, 2001. Made improvements in reliability on electrical systems. Rebuilt oven burner towers. Installed more efficient burners for indirect fired oven. Replaced DOS/CMMS system with Windows system. Performed upgrades on ammonia refrigeration system.
1998 - 2000
Maintenance Manager, Awrey s Bakery, Livonia, Michigan
Managed a maintenance department consisting of 30 union mechanics and 3 supervisors. Initiated CMMS system for the Maintenance Department. Trained all maintenance supervisors in use of CMMS. Replaced older Varidyne Drives with Allen Bradley Variable Frequency Drives. Cascaded variable frequency drives to obtain control from one station. Managed training plan for all mechanics including testing and certification.
1996 - 1998
Chief Engineer, Toufayan Bakery of Florida, Orlando, Florida
Plant engineering and maintenance over three shifts of maintenance mechanics. Managed a computer generated PM program and responsible for installation of one complete snack line and one complete flat bread line. Changed over all mixers (4) from direct expansion Freon cooling to Propylene Glycol system. Rewired three lines of relay control to PLC controls and made program change and modifications for bulk flour system to incorporate alarms and safeties for more efficient operation.
1995 1996
Chief Plant Maintenance Supervisor, Del Campo Baking Company, Wilmington, Delaware
Recruited, trained and managed activities of maintenance department personnel and directed maintenance Foreman in scheduling coverage for three shifts. Responsible for programming and maintaining PLC programming documentation and annotation of ladder programs using ICOM software and 486 computers.
1988 - 1995
Maintenance Supervisor, Pepperidge Farm, Inc., Lakeland, Florida
Planned daily work assignments for 5-7 non-union hourly workers in the 330,000 Sq. Ft. facility. Supervised troubleshooting of automated bulk handling systems for bakery ingredients and also troubleshooting of high-speed packaging equipment (all controlled by Allen Bradley PLC 5-15 and PLC 3 microprocessors) interfaced to data highway and IBM AS400 computer. Managed preventive maintenance for assigned areas using IBM computer and Comac software. Supervised maintenance of plant equipment that included boilers, compressors, HVAC and refrigeration. New plant start-up and responsible for maintaining OSHA safety compliance including confined spaces, lock-out/tag-out and right-to-know.
