INTRODUCTION

I have twenty-six (26) years experience in the IT and Telecommunications field. My roles have included Software Testing, Systems Engineering, and Technical Support.

At Rogers Communications I was responsible for managing 9 Senior UAT Analyst’s and 1 Prime. I was responsible for ensuring that the wireless PDPs (Product Development Programs) in Post-paid, pre-paid, Corporate, HUP, and Custom Migrations are launched in market on time. Agile and Waterfall testing methodologies were used.

At Sigma Systems I was responsible for managing a team of 8 Senior QA Analyst’s. I worked on the next generation of converged service creation and delivery through Net Provisioning. Our technology is HSD, Cable, Commercial Voice and VoIP. Agile and Waterfall testing methodologies were used.

At Syndesis Inc., I was responsible for Certification Testing of an automated Network Provisioning system. NetProvision automates service creation, activation, and maintenance for the New Network – across vendors, technologies, and network layers. With bi-directional network communication, a full-function Flow-Through Interface (FTI), and GUI. Work is done in a Client/Server environment using both Unix and Windows.

At Nortel Networks, I was responsible for trials support of the BCM (Business Communications Manager – formerly Norstar). The BCM is a converged communications system that delivers voice processing, business telephony applications and data networking services over a single platform that is managed via a browser-based tool. I have gained experience with VoIP and many protocols.

At Siemens Canada, I was responsible for the creation of test plans, test specifications and for the generation and execution of testcases. I have gained experience with multiple protocols such as VoATM, VoIP, Wireless and Mobile Communications, MPLS, VPN (L3/L2); MIBs, XML, BGP, OSPF, IGP TCP/IP, L2TP, PPP, PPPoE, CDMA, Static Routing, OC3, STS3C, T3 and T1.

At Nokia, I was responsible for bulk traffic testing, conducting feature and functionality testing, verification of bug fixes in the lab, executing regression testing, generating test cases and creating test plans and Conducting VoIP testing. We used the following protocols: MPLS, VPN (L3/L2); MIBs, XML, BGP, OSPF, and IGP

Prior to Nokia, I worked at the Conference Board of Canada where I was responsible for the programming, installation and support of a PBX telephone system.
