Location Manager for local KHOU-CBS news coverage of Super Bowl XXXVIII in February 2004; set up and crewed

the entire on-site production operation.

Successfully set up and crewed the local KHOU-CBS news coverage of MLB All Star FanFest in June 2004;

maintained smooth, seamless operations throughout coverage and production went on without a hitch.

MEDIA DIRECTOR August 2007-Present

UNITY CHURCH OF CHRISTIANITY Houston, TX

Direct live-to-tape, two camera production that is used by editor to create a weekly 30 minute broadcast show for

Channel 55; show airs every Sunday morning at 8:30 am.

Supervise a 4-person regular Media Team comprised of a director (self), an audio operator and 2 camera operators and

up to 25 members on the Media Team Volunteer list involved in televised church productions.

Facilitate training for all Media Team Volunteers that includes two annual 2-3 hour training seminars; team produces 52

shows a year personally direct as many as 42 of those 52 shows.

Privately held retail chain that sells a range of products such as pottery, patio/garden, holiday items, home d cor, floral, framed art/mirrors, and other

Utilize exceptional creative skills to design and produce animated commercial spots in SD from concept to broadcast

and oversee a $105K video production equipment purchasing budget.

Write scripts, schedule voice over talent record time, animate commercials to VO and music using After Effects, and

export final commercials using Final Cut Pro.

Additionally, upload compressed spots to DG Fast Channel server for station delivery, create order for delivery and

establish and maintain Traffic Instructions for stations.

POST-PRODUCTION AVID EDITOR June 2005-March 2007

Principal Editor of The Zooperstars Challenge, a weekly Saturday morning show; created 42 shows, 3 seasons of 14

shows, from start to finish also edited Weather Specials, Sport Shows, Health Shows and commercials.

Also served as Media Manager for the Avid Unity system maintained 6 Avid bays and managed the monthly

production tape budget that ranged from $1K-$12K throughout each year.

CREATIVE SERVICES PHOTOGRAPHER March 2001-June 2005

Managed filming, lighting and editing on special productions/promotional projects and oversaw project budgeting and crew

coordination on all remote productions served as Producer or Director when needed.

Location Manager for KHOU Live Thanksgiving Day Parade; a full day 7-8 camera / supporting equipment and stage

set-up before event day with teardown after event:

Handled the positioning of the Live Mobile Production Truck, two generators, talent trailer, and main stage location

and provided all paperwork, scheduling and draws for location.

Hired all crew members and contacted City of Houston for all permits needed to block streets where needed.

Acted as Main Stage Lighting Director during set-up and oversaw all logistical aspects of set-up.

Location Manager for the 3-4 camera set-up, KHOU Newscast on the Road series:

Scouted location with Production Manager, hired and scheduled all crew members, rented equipment including

generators, tents, trailers, and any extra gear when/where needed.

Worked as Lighting Director for main anchor stage lighting, coordinated with Engineering Team, Studio Production

Team, and Live Truck Operator to ensure productions were ready to air on time, every time.

Coordinated all location shoots and hired freelance photographers and editors, scheduled in-house production crew

members for location shoots when extra crew where needed and managed all location crews.

Shot and edited long to short projects, served as Location Manager for 3 Live Mayoral Debates, and Lighting

Director/Location Manager for Live KHOU Blood Drive events.

Maintained KHOU 3-Ton Production Grip Truck, a Chevy Suburban production van, and all location camera equipment

including a Sony DVW700, Arri Lighting Kit.

Managed a monthly $1.2K equipment budget; ordered raw tapes while remaining within a $1K raw tape budget.
