Project: Agile Manufacturing through Modular Reconfigurable Robotic work-cells

A rapidly reconfigurable modular robot/workcell consists of a collection of standard components. These components can be reconfigured and assembled to form a workcell dedicated to a specific task. Converting a manufacturing line from one product to the other can be very fast and easy to keep up with the rapid changing marketplace. The objective of this research is to design, simulate, and construct a reconfigurable workcell.
