BCIT Home Inspection Course Instructor (2007- present),
Training/ Curriculum Consultant for first nations and Canada Mortgage and
Housing (2009) - (2010) CMHC contracts my company as an independent
consultant to develop a training curriculum and deliver on-reserve
inspection training for various native bands in many locations of the
province
Course consultant (2009) for Vancouver Island University to train First Nations
housing Inspectors,
CBC interview (2008) Public awareness feature of questionable safety for
commercial buildings after explosive damage.
CBC interview (2006) Public awareness features about the presence of
asbestos in residential and commercial insulation with the intention of
reducing the hype and provide owners with resources for testing and
remediation.
Building inspector for Lytton First Nations (2006), on-reserve new construction
teaching project co-ordinated by Thompson River University
Advocate for IAQ applications for local governments (2006) - Liaison between
City of Vancouver and CMHC to introduce IAQ protocols as they relate to
Marijuana Grow-ops.
IAQ Focus on Commercial Property (2005) Indoor Air Quality Specialist for
CMHC to provide IAQ profiles that are included in the engineering report
provided by RDH (engineering) of select commercial buildings on Granville
Island that had mixed occupancy. Government of Canada Project
School Board of the District of Bella Bella (2004) Feasibility investigation on
potential teacher residences with a focus on health and safety issues and
the potential remediation cost impact given the region s extreme climate
considerations and its remote location.
Squamish, Pemberton and Mt. Currie Flood Disaster (2003) Consultant
working for CMHC to assess damage and provide community emergency
information sessions for safe home re-entry as part of the Provincial
Emergency Program (PEP). Worked in conjunction and Provincial
Environmental Health Authorities.
Afton Mines Assay Lab (2002) Feasibility study of indoor environmental
conditions of the assay lab building to determine if alternate usages were
viable.
Siska Indian Band Wood Electric Renovations Project (2001) Initiated and
supervised project which addressed and provided remediation for existing
health and safety issues resulting from unsafe and uncertified heating units.
Project was endorsed by Prime Minister s Office and funded through the
Ministry of Indian and Northern Affairs Commission (INAC).
