Control System Design. I enjoy developing and applying advanced

control techniques to real-world problems. My background in modeling

and robust control of robotic and aerospace systems has prepared me

to undertake challenging projects in these areas.

1992-1995:, Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering1990-1992:, M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering1986-1990: Université Laval, B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering

Consulting Control Engineer at Hatch Associates since 1995.

Simulation and control of high power smelting furnaces for non-ferrous

metals.

UNIX assistant system administrator, Systems Control Group,

University of Toronto, 1995.

Teaching assistant in the graduate course Systems Control,

U. of T., 1993 and 1994, and in the undergraduate courses Signals

and Systems II, U. of T., 1994, and Robotics and Control Systems

Laboratory, McGill U., 1991.

Model identification and robust controller designs for a large

flexible space structure experimental testbed at the Institute for

Aerospace Studies, U. of T., 1994.

Modeling and control of hydraulic actuators at the McGill

Research Centre for Intelligent Machines, 1991.

Software engineer at Spinex Medical Technologies,

Montr&eacuteal, summer of 1990. I refined many C functions for the

Spinoscope and modified an algorithm computing the kinematics

of the patient's spine.

Communication equipment supplies manager at Bell Canada,

Qu&eacutebec, summer of 1989. I developed and directed a one-million-dollar

project for province-wide supply of circuit boards to centrals.

Speaker in three technical sessions at the 1994 American Control

Conference. Speaker at the 1995 IEEE Conf. on Control Applications.

Vice-President of the Groupement des &eacutetudiant(e)s en g&eacutenie

&eacutelectrique, Universit&eacute Laval, 1988-1989.

Hands-on experience with the following hardware: TMS320C30 DSP,

Moore Mycro 352 industrial controller, 68HC11 controller, various A/D, D/A

cards, etc.

Control design techniques: H-infinity, µ-synthesis, Pole-placement,

LQG, Loop Shaping, PID, Smith Predictor, etc.
