Investigated and handled the lowest level to the most complex of claims for approximately 9 years. 5 years experience resolving catastrophic claims, litigated and arbitrated claims, and extra contractual liability (ECL) claims. Assisted counsel in developing legal strategy in resolving claims. Facilitated mediation days, which consisted of selecting and scheduling mediators, identifying cases for mediation, and attending mediation. Attended depositions, mediations and court hearings throughout California.
Temporarily served as a Regional Liability Administrator at the request of GEICOs Claims Home Office. Provided claims denial and settlement authority and instruction on claims and suit handling to claims associates and supervisors.
Co-led the centralization of GEICOs claims internet project, which was estimated to save one million dollars annually.
4 1/2 years experience as a business analyst leading various projects for GEICOs claims system rewrite. Worked with the business to determine internal and external customer needs to develop claims system requirements and business rules. Provided roll-out support and training to associates and management.
