INTRODUCTION

I am a veteran writer, editor and proofreader with an uncommonly strong math/education background - a proven performer under deadline pressure. After having spent 26 years as a full-time newspaper and online journalist, including an 11-year stint at the Hartford Courant, I've been employed as a freelance copy editor and proofreader, and I've also worked as a math tutor for students in Grade 6 through college. I'm versatile enough to write, edit or proofread just about any material that's printed in English, and I have also just begun creating interactive math tests and quizzes to be used for SAT preparation, etc., using an Adobe Flash-based application that requires the ability to work with Flash, Photoshop, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
