RECENT EMPLOYMENT

April 2010 present BUPA Australia - Front-end Developer

Worked with a small team of HTML, CSS and JavaScript developers, in liason with a UX,

graphic-design and Java team, to extend and refactor the front-end codebase for the launch

of a new BUPA Australia website. The site includes a high level of JavaScript (utilising JQuery

and AJAX) functionality, and elements of HTML 5 and CSS 3.

May 2009 Appril 2010 Capture Pty Ltd - Senior Front-end Developer

Acted as the senior front-end specialist in a small team working to develop cutting-edge

commercial websites. The company's clientele included some of

Australia's largest business' such as Guinness Australia, Budget Direct and

Bundaberg Rum. This role has involved exposure to various content management systems

such as Joomla, NEO and MOSS, as well as in-house custom-built CMS's.

September 2008 May 2009 Self Employed - Freelance Web Design & Development

Building small/medium scale websites from scratch concept to final implementation. Includes

all elements of web development from concept & graphics design to programming (PHP) and

database development and implementation (MySQL). Part of this job involved working with

the WordPress CMS as well as developing simple, custom-built CMS's in PHP.

During this time I worked on large-scale websites as part of a medium sized development

team. Examples include the websites for Supr, Kostya Tszyu, SunCorp, Virgin, Rams

Homeloans and the NRL.. My specific role entailed updating table-based designs to newer

CSS layouts that conformed to W3C standards. I also worked with SQL Server 2005 and

ASP.Net (Jscript).

May 2006 November 2006 Ambrow Pty. Ltd. Website Designer & Developer

This open-ended contract involved working in a small team to build the online ecommerce

site, ToysWholesale.com.au. Over 2000 stock items were photographed and inserted into the

database. The website was built using ASP and MySQL.

May 2005 May 2006 Austereo Internet Producer (Website manager)

In this 12-month maternity contract, I was ultimately responsible for the websites relating to

the two largest Newcastle based radio stations, NXFM & KOFM, but also created animat ed

flash adverts for all of the other Austereo radio stations, nation-wide. In addition, I worked as

a graphic designer and was responsible for large-scale adverts including motorway signage

and stadium ads for the Jumbo-TV.
