* Management of full-time and consulting scientists in the literature curation team
- Worked closely with the team to optimize Ingenuity's curation protocols, processes, software tools and workflows in order to ensure cost-efficient coverage of biological content in key areas (E.g. pharmacogenomics, mutations/SNPs, microRNA)
- Prioritized curation projects based on content product roadmap and customer feedback
* Management of biological pathway curation team
- Authored Ingenuity's Canonical Pathway Curation and QC Protocol, and worked with the software engineering team to develop Ingenuity's Pathway Editor tool based on protocol requirements
- Led the pathway curation team to develop a library of ~600 signaling and metabolic pathways
* Development of a new Curation Protocol for capturing variant-to-disease relationships in support of Ingenuity's new Variant Analysis application
- The curated findings enable Variant Analysis software to identify potential disease-causing mutations in a patient's whole genome sequence data
* Development of a new Curation Protocol for pharmacogenomics content
- Led comprehensive curation of published pharmacogenomics studies linking genomic variants to drug response, efficacy, toxicity and metabolism
* Assisted with development of a new NLP-based finding extraction workflow for automated extraction of findings from Medline abstracts
- Natural Language Processing aided finding extraction has helped to increase breadth of journal coverage while reducing content latency in Ingenuity's applications
* Licensing of biological content from 3rd party databases
- Approximately 2 million biological relationships imported into knowledge base from protein interaction databases, microRNA targeting databases, biomarker, metabolite, drug and disease databases, toxicity databases, as well as clinical trial registries
