Dear Hiring Manager,

The intent of this letter is to express my interest in working as an intern. A review of my resume

will reveal that I have strong background and practical experience in the field of Information

Technology and Networking.

My experience as a research engineer at the Indian Institute of Science for a year has given me

hands-on experience with state of the art technology and resources. I was involved in a joint

project between an internet service provider; HFCL (Himachal Futuristic Communication

Limited) and the Indian Institute of Science in developing software for bandwidth management

and providing Quality of Service. I was responsible for programming an interface for logging

different parameters of traffic flow like bandwidth utilization, throughput etc and developing web

based administrative portal to display graphs depicting these parameters. I have a good

understanding of networking concepts and programming languages like C, C++, Java, SQl and

Perl. I am presently enrolled at the University Of Southern California, perusing my masters in

Electrical Engineering majoring in Networking and Information Technology.

Though my resume is comprehensive, it cannot fully demonstrate potential. I have a proven

ability to perform under a minimum amount of supervision, and demonstrate a high degree of

initiative and good judgment. I will be glad to discuss the contributions that I could make to your

esteemed company.
