Experience:

Worked as a Research Associate in the French Institute of Pondicherry in the 'Wasteland

Development' Project from Oct 1987 to Oct 1988.

Worked as a Project Officer in the Editorial of Dinamalar Tamil daily of Erode editon from 1988

Nov. to 1991 Sept.

Working as a 'Research Engineer' (Ingin ur d'etudes) in the department of Indology as a project

head for the section of photo archives since 1991 Oct to till date.

Nature of Work

Conducting temple surveys in all the four Southern states of India and giving the guidelines for

the researchers in all over the world who visit the photo archives of the French Institute of

Pondicherry for their research and publications.

Actively participating in the internal publications of the French Institute and also

administering the photo archives.

Digitization:

1. The data base for the full collection of the 1, 36,000 temple photographs taken since 1956

is completed in MS Access. The same has been grouped in different categories and

launched in the web site of the French Institute.

2. Nearly 25,000 negatives of the temples are digitized in Tiff format.

Worked for the preparation of books:

i) Gangaikonda Cholapuram temple

ii) Tanjavur temple

iii) Senji Fortification

CD-ROMs:

i) Prepared four CD-ROMs in collaboration with INTACH on the Heritage Buildings of

Pondicherry, French Institute, 2002 (for the usage of French Institute and Pondicherry

Government).

ii) Associated in the preparation of a CD-ROM on Bhairava one of the Terrible Forms of

Lord Siva, Collection Indologie 95, French Institute of Pondicherry and EFEO, 2005,

Edited by Karine Ladresh.

iii) Associated in the preparation of a CD-ROM on Pondicherry Past and Present, Collection

Indologie 107, French Institute of Pondicherry and EFEO, 2005, by Jean Deloche.

iv) Associated in the preparation of a CD-ROM on Darasuram Architecture and

v) At present actively involved in a CD-ROM project on 'Jain Monuments of Tamil Nadu'

with Paris University III and IV since August 2008.

1. Associated in the preparation of exhibitions on the Heritage buildings of Pondicherry in

the Chamber of Commerce building, Municipality office hall and in the Pondicherry

Museum during 2000 and 2001.

2. Aspects of Siva Booklet published in association with a photographic exhibition

Pondicherry and Bangalore during 2002.
