Wrote a detailed Work Breakdown structure for the Active Directory\Electronic messaging component of this consolidation.

Streamlined the facility Messaging Center at Walter Reed and coordinated mailbox migrations from our old mail system to the new enterprise messaging system. The migration involved the move of over 17,000 user accounts and mailboxes. Phase II included over 120 servers, 4,000 workstations and 160 printers. As a result, USAMITC has awarded 5 organizations a recognition certificate for the outstanding cooperation, coordination and hard work that the technical staff has performed during the AD/Exchange Migration Project. Only 5 sites received this award out of approximately 70 sites. We were the only major command with over 7000 users.
Microsoft Exchange Administration
Provided leadership and direction to 5 personnel in the messaging department.
Successfully planned, configured and maintained the Armys North Atlantic Regional Medical Command site AMEDD-NA for Microsoft Exchange in both the beta and production phases. The site is the largest medical command in the DOD and consists of 19 official subordinate locations within the North Atlantic region. The regional compliment consisted of 22 subordinate (Tier1) Exchange administrators and over 17,000 clients. The server compliment consisted of a total of 46 servers that included 2 webshield servers, 2 bridgehead servers, 37 mail servers, 2 Avantgo servers, 1 OWA server, 1 BlackBerry server and 1 RightFax server.
Successfully pioneered and installed Walter Reeds first production Outlook Web Access server.
Coordinated and planned regional migration efforts; as well as, created and maintained technical documentation for use by regional Exchange administrators.
Other duties included configuring and troubleshooting Exchange client software (Outlook 97,98,2000) on user PCs and laptops, participating in regular MEDCOM technical working groups concerning organizational Exchange policy, configuring Palm-Pilot units for use in Outlook, assisting our government clients in implement classroom training for Outlook \ Exchange, setting a standard configuration for laptops and remote users, providing help desk technical support, installing blackberry devices and submitting System Change Requests (SCR) to the configuration control board for the site.
