the Internet edition of the newspaper. Implemented major redesigns

the site's database-driven elections returns system to process the

site's Breaking News section and online election-return system to MySQL/PHP.

Developed and published database-driven Web applications for the newspaper,
including a statewide directory of movie listings, a fully searchable
database of Hawaii state lawmakers, and the first use in Hawaii of
a database to post live statewide election returns online. The elections
application was subsequently adapted to process election results for
the newpaper's print editions, which continued to use it through 2006.
