Owned my own business for 14 years buying, selling and leasing real estate

I have acquired a wide knowledge base of the petroleum industry through my employment with the Federal Government as a Petroleum Quality Surveillance Representative for 14 years,(In this capacity I developed quality control plans for the various bulk fuel terminals under my authority). I also worked as a Quality Control Technician for 3 yrs., testing lubricants from oil-wetted parts of military equipment for the United States Army General Materiel & Petroleum Agency (USAGMPA). In addition to having a Bachelor of Science Degree I worked in the Agribusiness (food) industry testing various products in the making of cooking oils for commercial use. I pride myself in getting along well with my colleagues, while having the independence to work efficiently on my own. Computer literate. I can work efficiently with most computer software, including, word, excel, database and telecommunication systems. Purchased, leased and sold real estate.

Purchased, sold and leased properties. As sole proprietor I performed and or oversaw 100% of the maintenance, to include, electrical, plumbing, cleaning, renovations etc . Managed twenty (20) plus properties over a twelve (12) year period of time. As sole proprietor and owner all administrative duties were performed by me as well.

Petroleum Quality Assurance Representative

(Sep-1984 - Mar-1998)

Dept. of Defense, Cincinnati, OH

Performed an aggregate of measures to assure the quality of petroleum and petroleum products i.e., from the purchasing the product in its crude form, assuring its storage, refining, distribution to end use. Including testing, monitoring testing, controlling literally every aspect of the quality of the product, that could not be released, moved, stored, distributed or used without by verbal and signatory authority.

My responsibilities included ensuring the quality of aircraft fuels dispense into Air force One, the president's plane. Managed and operated Government owned and Government operated fuel terminal facilities., whereby I oversaw contractor operations of bulk fuel management from procurement, sampling, testing, storage and distribution of jet fuels and other petroleum products. Developed the plans for monitoring the various programs to assure contractor compliance and wrote procedures for Corrective Action (CA) for non-compliance and applied that authority as required.

Quality Control Technician (may 1981-Sep 1984)

USAGMPA, Harrisburg, Pa

Performed testing of oil lubricated parts of equipment for the US Military. Testing included the use of an AE spectrograph, mass spectrometer and a viscosimeter to name of few.

Bench Chemist

SoyKist, Inc., Marks, MS (Jan 1978-sep 1979)

Performed chemical analysis on cotton seed and soybeans. This testing was in-process analysis whereby the raw products were tested prior to manufacturing and throughout the refining process to produce cooking oils. Instruments used included the Kjehldal apparatus to test for crude fiber, refractive index apparatus to assure the clarity of products. Other instruments included Gas chromatograph and the Mass spectrograph.

Biomedical (Microbiological) Research Technician

NIH Grant, Alcorn St. University, Lorman, MS (mar 1976-jun 1977)

Involved in biomedical research studying the immunochemistry of cellulase. Cellulase is the enzyme present in the stomach to ruminants. Cellulase is the enzyme present in the stomach to ruminants. It breaks down the protein cellulose to enable the protein to be digested by ruminants as a food source. The bacterium that produces the cellulose is called Rumenococcus flavefaciens. My primary duty was to isolate that bacterium thru a series of centrifuges, cultural growth and cell fractionation. I did isolate that bacterium and presented my findings at a scientific symposium in Atlanta, GA in the summer of 1977.
