I have been a professional in the travel industry for over 25 years, with
15 years in Corporate International Travel and 10 years in airport
related functional occupations. My experience has focused on customer
sales and service with extensive direct contact with both clients and
vendors, including supporting demanding accounts such as American
Management Systems, IBM, the USDA, and the World Bank. This experience
has required interactions with corporations, airlines, and primary
accounts in the negotiation and implementation of contracts.
Working for travel giants like American Express and Pan American Airways
has honed me professionally and provided me with recurring exposure to
the best practices of the travel industry. It has required the
development of communication skills and demanded interpersonal talents of
the highest order. My love of travel and my affinity for human
interaction have made this demanding progression a fulfilling career. I
like what I do.
I understand and appreciate the business aspects of travel. I understand
the need to budget travel to fit the needs of both client and employee. I
have worked with corporate on-line booking tools for over 5 years. I have
20 years of experience with international tariffs and rates as well
passport and visa requirements. I have resolved numerous discrepancies
with various airlines and travel service vendors and have reached out to
travelers as an educator, a mentor, and often as a source of moral
support.
I understand multi-market environments as well as multi-national
corporations, and how relationships between all parties are essential for
quality performance and best practice solutions. My experience in
international and domestic travel environments has given me the exposure
and wherewithal to be highly adaptable, and to be ready to serve
successfully.
