Residential Substance Abuse Treatment program by Western Michigan
University at Camp Branch Women's Correctional Facility. The programs
provided educational and therapeutic treatment for residents with chemical
dependency resulting in criminal activity while rehabilitating and
educating for future success in society. My responsibilities involved work
of a confidential and/or complex nature necessitating exposure to sensitive
information and contact with higher-level administrators requiring
considerable discretion, tact and diplomacy.
As Office Manager for the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program
(RSAT) at Camp Branch Women's Correctional Facility I was instrumental in
utilizing system data bases to create and maintain all orientation logs,
group activity logs, RSAT movement within the prison, staff scheduling,
meeting logs and conference minutes, new admit application forms, resident
charts forms, correspondence processing Parole Board Notification letters
and tracking forms. I maintained grids for all resident group activities
and handled all charts to include discharge and graduation including
activities with Brochures and Certificates. I created and handled all chart
related activities for RSAT Step-Down Program (After Care) and the LEADS
Program (Outpatient). I managed correspondence with the prison environment
and/or University and MDOC Personnel. I upheld a thorough knowledge of
policies and procedures as set forth and governed by State / Federal
Regulations regarding inmate confidentiality and privacy issues as outlined
by FOIA, (Freedom of Information Act).
