Classification

Description The objective of this feature is to allow the iBTS

sending detailed information on the root cause of

the radio link failure using ALU-private IEs. The

"additional RL failure information" can then be

gathered by the RNC together with the

"3GPP-standard RL failure information" and put in

a snapshot as part of Call Failure Trace (CFT)

Description Ran model introduces the new features coming as a

part of the lucent Node B in synchronization with

the 3Gpp standards, which Lucent is offering to

its customers. Ranmodel testing scope validates

the bring up and E2E call processing of lucent

NodeB and the new features introduced as a part of

the RAN MODEL

for testing activities

V Setting up and configuring NodeB as per the changes of RAN model in

different backhauls (ATM,NIP & HYBRID)

V Bring up of the WMS(3G operator) from scratch with the new RAN model

and connecting the Lucent NodeB with the Operator

V Updating the QC with all the Baselined Testcases with the latest

execution status pass percentage before MS Submission

Name NodeB - External Log Storage of BTS Logs in

Operator

Description The CEM and CCM cards on the BTS have limited

space to store the trace messages. Hence the

possibility of the logs getting overflowed by the

time they are collected is higher. This results in

increase in turnaround time for the bug fixes.

Also as some of the bugs which occur in the field

are not reproducible at a test set up, they get

closed without any resolution. Hence this feature

shall provide provision to buffer the BTS logs on

an external server, which is by default the
