Has 25 years’ experience across a wide range of projects of varying types and sizes. Throughout my career I have focused on contracts and procurement, with a number of senior roles in owner, consultant and contractor organizations.
As an established procurement manager, I have built up a wealth of experience in establishing procurement strategies, selecting and executing appropriate forms of procurement, negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors, and the ongoing administration of contracts.

Responsibilities include:
Review contactors’ application of payments, claims and final accounting.
Lead on site measurement of quantities, from drawings and on industry standard measurement software
Assist in the early identification of variances and trends in costs against Budget
Work closely with Contracts Engineers to monitor and control Subcontractors costs to ensure that all contractual, performance, changes in work scope, claims and development information is examined and included in forecast costs.
Newmont Mining Corporation
Hope Bay Project, Hope Bay, Nunavut & Vancouver, BC
Senior contracts and procurement Manager for the construction, care and maintenance of Newmont’s Hope Bay gold mining project, with an annual expenditure of approximately $350m. Primarily based on site, with support also provided in Newmont’s corporate office in Vancouver.
Responsible for development and management of heavy equipment and construction contracts
Evaluation of commercial options, including equipment purchase/rental assessments
Ongoing management of contracts, including invoice control and client / contractor performance reviews
Participate in the Procurement of a gold processing mill from abroad (South Africa), and support with organization of Sea-Lift Operations
