Dear Hiring Manager:

For more than 15 years, I have been working and educating myself in an always-developing world,

adapting to the ever changing workforce while still striving to learn the new skills put forth day after

day. Mainly working in commercial scenarios, I have been able to recognize and troubleshoot many

aspects of my careers, helping me become an efficient and sensible employee every opportunity I get.

With over 10 years of experience in multiple fields, I feel I have a comprehensive knowledge of my

environment which allows me to complete tasks and make on the job decisions with ease. I am

currently in training as a Class D Power Lineman at The Mid-East Adult Center for Education,

expecting my completion of the course on April 16th, 2013.

This program has allowed me to gain multiple qualifications and skills including:

Class A CDL

10 hr. OSHA safety certification

First Aid/CPR certification

Climbing and setting poles

Stringing primary and secondary wire/service drops

Hanging and replacing cross arms

Much more.

I am a diligent worker and I am willing to learn new things. I am also the type of person who can work

very efficiently on my own, while still being able to function well with a group or as a team on a

project. As shown in my attached resume, I have much experience in the electrical, construction, and

maintenance fields and I am up to the challenge of a position where I can develop and demonstrate my

new skills in the power-line field, while also excelling at my current ones.

My resume, which I have attached to this letter for you consideration, contains my multiple

qualifications and showcases my many skills that set me up to be an efficient lineman and a valuable

asset to your company. I look forward to an opportunity to meet with you at your convenience so that

we may discuss my qualifications and what I might be able to bring to your business as a Class D

Power Lineman. Thank you for you time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Gary W. Hill
