Dear Chronos Consulting
I am pleased to present my resume to you for a position as a Composite Design Engineer. As a seasoned
professional with 9+ years of engineering experience, I am confident in my ability to help translate
creative ideas into ground-breaking products and processes.
In addition to my hands-on engineering experience, I possess a Master’s of Science Degree in
Mechanical Engineering and have taken four continuing education courses specializing in composite
design and analysis. Over the years I have become proficient in a number of key areas including
proposals, product design, 3D modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), micro & macro mechanics,
creating detailed drawings, manufacturing in both composites and metal fabrication, project management
and managing a small team of engineers.
During my time as a Mechanical Design Engineer/Project Engineer (2003-2010) and a Materials
Engineer (2010-Present) I have realized a number of relevant accomplishments:
• Played a major role in designing and analyzing a state of the art High Energy Mobile X-Ray
Scanner.
• Was a major contributor to designing a new and improved Mobile Command Center product line.
• Completed an extensive R&D project to find an alternative weather resistant outer film for
Radome construction.
• Analyzed and tested several alternative glass reinforced polymer materials for use in sandwich
Radome construction.
Being a performance-driven and motivated professional, I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to
discuss how my extensive experience and skills would benefit your company. Thank you for your time
and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Bryan Garrity

L-3 Communications - ESSCO, Ayer MA
2010– Present
Materials Engineer, Composites
Design, development, and manufacturing support of ground based, shipboard, airborne and
submarine composite Radomes, precision reflectors and other composite material products.
Design and proof composite molds, develop material solutions using the most appropriate resin
systems, prepreg materials and other composites to create and evaluate oven cure cycles and to
evaluate cost versus performance tradeoffs for different composite materials.
• Manage engineering projects from inception to completion serving as technical liaison with
the customer. Review customer requirements and specifications in support of proposal
efforts, and provide cost estimating and technical documentation.
• Complete assigned projects on time and within budget and for adherence to engineering
standards including Item Master, bills of materials (BOM), modeling architecture, software
libraries, task lists and related procedures.
• Work closely with other internal company disciplines to identify, troubleshoot and monitor
all aspects of a program(s) to ensure that contract specifications and delivery schedule are
met on time and within budget.
• Use mechanical design software including Inventor™ 3-D or Solid Works models and to
AUTOCAD™ 2-D drawings, and develop task lists and BOM for customer projects.
• Prepare formal documentation and presentation materials such as analysis reports,
technical manuals, installation instructions, etc. Participate and present information for
Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Technical Interchange
Meetings (TIM) and prepare Customer Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
• In charge of all research and development efforts for the Radome, Reflector and Antenna
products. This including analysis, prototyping and testing on new concepts and design
improvements.
• Assist in maintaining and improving engineering standards, procedures, reference
libraries, Inventor™ 3-D models, reference BOMs and Task Lists.
