Senior management team leader responsible for directing implementation of system wide imaging system, including registration, billing and collections, health information management, e-signature and remote access for the entire medical staff. Worked closely with auditors/consultants on merger and acquisition analysis of two acute care hospitals, two free standing surgical centers and a large radiology practice. Directed clinical and financial teams that planned and implemented system conversions for time and attendance, payroll, accounts receivable, electronic billing and peri-operative services. Initiated a lost charge recovery program that increased collected revenue by $1M annually. Enhanced the patient financial assistance programs that reduced bad debt expense and increased annual state subsidies by over $20M per year from 1999-2010. Initiated a payment denial tracking report and follow up team which uncover and collect over $4M annually in commercial insurance denials and underpayments. Implemented a registration expediting function, which reduced wait times by an average of ten minutes, representing a 30% improvement. Consultant with hospital and physician organizations in New Jersey. Responsible for managed care contracting and system implementations, accounts receivable, reimbursement, registration and other related consulting engagements for hospitals and physician practices.

Accomplishments: Developed the budget process and facilitated the completion of an $850M operating budget and $75M capital budget for a newly merged three hospital system. Accomplishments: Directed the negotiation, analysis, and implementation and monitoring of more than 30 managed care and HMO/PPO contracts. Financial team leader responsible for completing $105M bond financing. Designed and implemented systems and processes that increased annual state subsidies by $3M and cash flow from operations by $10M annually.
