Worked on a team to design, maintain, and develop the various
applications on
the WINSTAR project for the Department of Justice Civil Division in a
client
server environment. WINSTAR is an automated litigation support project
handling
the $64 billion Savings and Loans class action lawsuit, filed against
the DOJ.
Platformed on Sun Ultra 6500 and Sun Ultra 3000 servers.
Responsibilities
include:
DBA tasks - Installing and configuring Oracle 8.0.5 on NT, JDeveloper
2.0, and Developer/2000 2.1.2; making design changes using
Designer/2000;
administrating NT Server 4.0; doing performance tuning, backup and
recovery;
implementing backup and recovery and writing documentation for 24x7
database;
creating tables, views, indexes, grants, sequences, extents,
constraints, and
relationships. Used Enterprise Manager for many tasks.
Developing applications using Oracle Forms 4.5 - 6.0 and JDeveloper
2.0.
Writing PL/SQL stored procedures and triggers.

floor plans using the Whip Plug-in. The web portion of the application

created by using Designer/2000 and later modified for increased

For this project, completed two training classes from Oracle
