Majordomo Vantive Data Synchronization for Network Appliance, Sunnyvale, CA.
Majordomo Vantive data synchronization is a backend process developed using PERL and
Oracle 8.x. This is an automated process and was developed to synchronize the data between
two different tools used by Network Appliance, namely, Majordomo and Vantive. The Perl
modules used in this process are DBI.pm and DBD-Oracle.pm modules.
Also, involved in enhancing an existing process of generating the new bugs script by
getting the new bugs information into the Oracle database instead of a text file by
writing a Perl script and a PL/SQL trigger. Enhancement of PERL modules for maintaining
the database usernames and passwords, sending an email by using Object Oriented
methodologies, such as bless function which is widely used in object oriented code. This
methodology includes object-oriented analysis (OOA) & object-oriented design (OOD).
Responsibilities: Analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of
application systems, fine tuning some of the existing processes with focus on performance
enhancement by using object oriented concepts, writing PERL scripts and modules, bug
fixing, analysis and design of the database tables, PL/SQL scripts such as triggers,
stored procedures and packages.

Product Data Management is a web based system developed using PERL (using oraperl.pm
module), HTML, JavaScript, Forms 6.0, designer 6i and Oracle 7.x. This module is a part of
Repair Implementation process developed for the planning department of Cisco Systems Inc.
This module provides a valuable aid for the product analyst to analyze and assign an
attribute to the new part or to an acquisition. Once the part has been analyzed, then the
analysis details are passed on to the planning team.
Responsibilities: Analysis and design of the database tables using designer 6i, writing
PERL scripts using Oraperl module, writing PL/SQL scripts such as Package and stored
