Perform circuit acceptance testing for OC3, OC12, OC48, DS3, DS1 and DS0. Perform all software release upgrades for Titan DACS. Perform and log regularly scheduled back-ups for DACs, respond to system alarms through the use of technical trouble shooting skills and communicate findings to Customer Care Representatives for related outages. Monitor all levels of RSO circuit performance (i.e.: Physical, Data Link, etc.) and take corrective action to minimize system downtime. Provide management with detailed reports on system downtime and carrier circuit performance on a regular basis. Manage all vendors doing work in the building and budget for operations. Perform and log regularly scheduled routines on support systems, fiber splice and use OTDR and frame relay wiring.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform all pre-testing activities, using centtest equipment testing and commissioning activities for deployment, new site builds, or other specific project schedules.

Ensure that all database parameters are correctly loaded before the testing begins; to include both router and server configurations.

Coordinate testing activities and schedules directly with the Program Manager and/Deployment Manager (Andrew and/or Customer).

Provide the external and internal customer(s) with technical guidance and trouble-shooting support as needed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

recent graduates with telecom course SONET 2002.

EXPERIENCE

3 years telecom experience;

An understanding of RF technologies and signal propagation theory and tools;

Knowledge of wireless standards (GSM, TDMA, CDMA);

Familiarity with telecom networking (switching, routing, OSI reference models);

Field work in wireless base stations and mobile switching centers;

Proficiency with Windows and MS Office applications and a basic understanding of UNIX command structure and mapping tools;

Familiarity with Telnet and FTP; and

Experience in deadline driven technical or engineering projects.

Previous Wireless E911 experience or system knowledg.
