EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Jim Wallace has twenty years of experience in designing and delivering IT solutions in a wide range of technical and business environments. He successfully made the transition from mainframe systems through client-server to enterprise scale, component based, n-tier architectures and platforms. These technical skills are enhanced by an ability to apply advanced conceptual and methodological techniques in designing and implementing software solutions that are focused directly on business requirements.

He recently has specialized in high availability, J2EE based retail finance (banking) applications and integration with the enterprise back office. Before terms as a Solutions Architect with Railinc and with Pivotal Corporation, he worked for Software AG as an enterprise and solutions architect; fulfilling a consulting and technical evangelist role with their J2EE integration broker technology and leading a group of system engineers developing custom adapters. He subsequently focused on building and supporting relationships with ISV partners and providing architectural expertise and mentoring to Software AG s Canadian based consultants.

Mr. Wallace has extensive IT consulting and systems delivery experience, both as a free-lance consultant and as a senior employee of DMR Consulting Group (now Fijitsu Consulting). He has architected solutions for both world class corporations and government clients, and has repeatedly demonstrated the leadership qualities critical to the successful implementation of enterprise scale initiatives.

For the past few years, he has specialized in the architecture of thin client and n-tier applications, and is an expert in middleware and integration techniques. These have typically been enterprise scale solutions with substantial transaction throughput, often featuring low latency integration with mainframe or COTS back office resources. They have increasingly focused on SOA and Web Services paradigms.
