Work Experience

Responsible for the daily activities within the Quality department. The Quality department is responsible for the inspection of purchased products as a finish good and piece parts for our production. Our review of product and material is key to the assurance of acceptable product for our customers. Administered ISO program, maintain the Standard Operating Procedures, Internal Audit process, Corrective and Preventive Action program and reviewed Customer Complaints. Management Representative for ISO and directed our Management Review meetings. I have experience with FMEA and Control Plan systems. Iaaam Lean Black Belt certified. Leader of and participating in Kaizen events. In the Kaizen events I train the new team members on the tools that we will use. I direct our Key Process Indicator meetings with department heads. I have also been part of Six Sigma events where we reduced costs in production with the Six Sigma tools.

As part of my responsibilities I review supplier performance and visit suppliers to address quality issues. Our supplier performance program promotes the awareness of the suppliers on time delivery and quality rating. I setup an inspection data collection system that saves the data in an Excel file and the inspectors are able to review required documents that are linked to Excel file.

Assisted the Quality Inspectors and Technicians training them on their tasks. Primary function involved review of non-conforming material reports and determine disposition. Worked with suppliers and internal departments to reduce the number of problems. Communicated with suppliers on 8D and corrective actions. Developed Receiving inspection process documents. Supported SPC systems and review of data.

Administered gauge calibration and control system. Collected production data for SPC on production line. Performed First Article Inspection Reports for supplieraaas material and improved the calibration system to increase our in-house calibration capability.
