Project Associate Prof. Aditya K. Jagannatham, Multimedia Wireless Networks Lab, IIT Kanpur, India
Developed robust MPEG decoder in MATLAB and C++ that performs streaming of live videos over wireless network.
Currently developing H.264/SVC codec to achieve video streaming of live events on IIT Kanpur campus wireless infrastructure.
Performed extensive study of JSVM (Joint Scalable Video Model) and Network Simulator.

Studied clustering in heterogeneous information networks.
Work involves concurrent clustering and ranking of objects in a general multi-typed heterogeneous network schema.
Co-developed a novel algorithm to understand the hidden structures of the network and the individual role of every object in each cluster .

B.E. Major Project, Shop n Drop Shopping Website Dr. Varun Kumar, HOD, CSE Department, ITM, Gurgaon, India (Advisor)
Designed a website mimicking shopping mall environment using ASP .NET, SQL, HTML and JavaScript (worked in a team of three).
Employed cost-based query optimizers to retrieve instant query results.
Integrated a recommender system, using K-nearest neighbor algorithm, to efficiently deliver items of interest to user.
Increased dynamicity of the web pages, using ASP and recommender system, based on visitor s preferences.
Third year project, File Splitter Mrs. Jyotsna Singh, Assistant Professor, ITM, Gurgaon, India (Advisor)
Developed a file splitting software using C#/.NET technology.
The software splits a huge file into smaller manageable segments which are later combined to deliver the original file.
Solved the problem of upper limit on amount of data that can be uploaded .
For several file formats, the split files act as i ndependent functional entities and can also be used in segregated state.
Second year project, Online Customer Care Services of a Telecom Company Prachi Pathak, Steria India Ltd, Noida, India (Advisor)
Developed a website using ASP, SQL, HTML and JavaScript.
Designed the database schema to optimize database indexing and query performance. Database updates obeyed ACID properties.
Created frontend using HTML, JavaScript and MS Frontpage. SQL tables constituted the backend.
Validated client side information using JavaScript. ASP scripts invoked pertinent SQL queries to update the database.
