DESIGN PROJECTS & PRESENTATIONSDesigned an automated solar panel as a requirement for the Capstone Design Final Project at WSU. Researched the topic and took on the responsibility of team leader. Assigned duties, oversaw the entire design process, and created a timeline for completion. Coded the microprocessor to function autonomously. Assembled and connected the various hardware components and preformed quality checks. Finished ahead of schedule, allowing for the addition of a battery recharging function. Presented final body of work to the class and Professor Syed M. Mahmud.

LEADERSHIP Tutored 1st year circuit students that eventually finished in the top 15% of their class. Lead a group of three students with academic difficulties. Organized weekly review sessions, reviewed class material, assisted with assigned homework, taught them alternative methods to visualize problems and find solutions, and played a leading role in raising their confidence.

RESEARCH PROJECTS & PRESENTATIONSPerformed research on Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) implementations with the use of Power Electronics and Controls. Researched the topic of Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) and how they can be implemented with Power Electronics. Extensive study was performed to determine the different technologies available for Flexible AC Transmission Systems in order to enable the control of power flow on AC transmission lines by utilizing existing transmission facilities to their thermal limits without sacrificing reliability. Simulations for Static VAR Compensator (SVC) and Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) models were created to show their response in operation to different scenarios.
