Databases for various courses offered by the College of Education,
WSU using MS Access 7.0.
Created an Application Package for the use and maintenance of Learner
Participation Database in MS Access 7.0 using Macros and Stored
Procedures (Modules).
Projects :
Application development on the Web
Developed and Interactive Web site for implementing aTelephone Database
System. The project involved creation of necessary databases as flat files
and all file operations and query handling using C programs and interfacing
it with perl based web sites through CGI Programming. Java Script was used
for testing the user input.
Object Oriented Programming in C++ on UNIX
Designed and Developed a Parser tool and Documenting tool to perform
automatic Hypertext documentation of an existing Object Oriented Program
in C++. The Parser was used to parse the entire code and produce tokens
(for the classes, functions, dependencies, inheritances etc.) and the
Documentation Tool read these tokens and according to a user specified
template file generated the Documentation for the software in HTML.
Analyzed, Designed, Developed and Documented an Application Package for
aCar Rental Systemusing the principles of OODG. Determined the
Classes and the Couplings between them. The system took care of
reservations, cancellations, payments, balances etc. Various stubbing
techniques were used during the process of coding.
Database Management using ORACLE
Designed and developed an application to manage a Video Rental Franchise
with many stores at different locations. Its functions were to keep track
of all the information about its customers, video cassettes, sound
equipment and products sold. An invoice was generated for transactions
from a particular customer and this was implemented using PL/SQL. Forms
4.5 was used as the front end and Oracle 7.0 as back end. The application
also produces a set of reports about movies in stock, customer lists,
movies rented, outstanding invoices, late movies and members owing money
which were generated using Reports 2.5.
Designed and developed aPayroll Systemfor an industry using Oracle
7.0 as back end and Forms 4.5 as front end. Developed number of modules
to keep track of time worked by employees in each department individually
as well as to keep track of their payments.
Visual Basic 4.0
Simulated a CPU Scheduler for a number of available CPU scheduling
algorithms and each time chose the most optimal algorithm to maximize
the Throughput and CPU Utilization and to minimize CPU Time and Response
Time. The user interface and coding for this project was done using
Visual Basic 4.0.
