TRW, (April 1999-Present) Test and Evaluation Engineer/Integration Engineer
Test team member tasked with system test and evaluation of PDAS system
software. This task involves the testing of the PDAS software suite which
includes COTS packages as well as custom software designed inhouse. This also
includes the writing of test procedures, requirements mapping, SPR (Software
Problem Report) generation, conducting regression and DTE testing and working
in
a team environment with members from software, test and sys admin groups to
resolve problems.
Also tasked as Test and Evals lead Hardware Integration Engineer. This
task includes the identification of new products to replace aging PDAS
hardware
components and testing to ensure smooth inclusion into the PDAS Hardware
baseline. Additionally included with this task is the generation of Test
Plans,
Test procedures, Installation procedures and Test reports. This task also
required a high level of interfacing with the Systems Engineering group as
well
as the Customer.
Nisus Technologies Inc, (June.1998-April 1999)
Lead Test Engineer
for Gov't communications system. This task involves
creating test plans, test procedures, STD's (System Test Descriptions), SSS's
(Subsystem Specs), as well as co-ordinating and conducting DTE testing
locally.
Also responsible for delivery of documentation as well as delivery of system
software to various sites, and successful DTE testing at each site.
Computer Sciences Corp, (Sept. 1995-May.1998) Senior Network Engineer
Team member of a team charged with the integration, configuration, and
installation of LAN/WAN systems for the National Counterintelligence Center
(NACIC). This task involves the integration and installation of both hardware
and software elements to create multiple LANs using SUN/SPARC 20 platforms
with
the Solaris 2.4 operating system. Tasks included hardware and software
configuration, integration and installation of an enhanced Fortezza capable
Mosaic web browser, installing and integrating these systems into existing
JWICS
configurations at eight different customer sites. This task also involved the
installation and configuration of CISCO 4500 routers for use as IP filtering
systems at each site, and finally providing system user and administration
training for select personnel at each site. Additional tasking included
Network
review and re-designs to allow for future growth and installation of HP5M
color
laser printers at each customer site. Provide "on-call" support to address
network / system performance tuning issues, as needed. This task required
knowledge of Sun SPARC platforms, CISCO routers, Fortezza Mosaic/NETSCAPE and
general network knowledge as well as prior testing environment skills to
troubleshoot problems that were encountered by merging new types of
technology.

Assigned to the INFOSEC task at the Infosec Integration Test Laboratory
(IITL).
Responsible for hardware configuration of test network setups to be used
during
Multilevel Information System Security Initiative (MISSI) testing. Also
involved
with hardware procurement through various vendors, tracking shipments and
management of resources in the lab. Secondary responsibilities included
conducting and assisting with network testing, evaluation of test plans, test
reports and assisting with overall lab operations.
Previously assigned to the Network System Division. Involved with equipment
installation and checkout plans to test reports and the ability to conduct the
numerous stages of systems and component level testing in the IITL labs.
Responsible for supporting and conducting test and evaluation tasks for the
IITL. Also responsible for planning, coordination, executing and evaluating
interface tests, functional system tests and equipment evaluation for the
Govt.
Packet Switching Test Network (CPSTN). Also involved with testing of next
generation networking equipment (LAN, X.25, Frame Relay, etc.) for
incorporation
and ultimate replacement of current network technology.
These positions required knowledge of PCs, DOS, Windows, and various phases of
the testing environment and testing approaches.

the established performance design and operational requirements. Worked
closely
with test coordinators to develop, write and implement various test schedules,
plans and procedures. Mapped subsystem requirements to the test procedures to
insure that all requirements have been met.
During tenure at Ford, also worked as a training representative responsible
for
instructing military and subcontract students on the operation of various
interactive subsystems.
Developed courseware material, provided upgrades and revisions to material as
needed and perform podium instruction. Also acted as SME assisting in the
development of CAI (Computer Aided Instruction) courses to replace classroom
training.
These positions required detailed knowledge of and experience with current
operational systems, as well as their predecessors, which, in turn, provided
an
excellent overview for the training arena as well as the system level test
environment.
