Summary: I have been in the Plastics Industry for 34 years. As a Senior Tooling Engineer my responsibilities included working with the product designers to insure that part designs were manufacturability, specify mold requirements, develop mold quoting packages, and place the mold at the best tool builder. I would approve the final mold design and follow the building of the mold to assure on time delivery. My responsibilities included working with quality to correct all dimensional problems and functional problems with the mold before turning the mold over to production. I have experience with plastic injection tooling, rubber transfer tooling, insert tooling, encapsulation tooling, unscrewing molds, two shot molding, rotating table and robotic transfer.
My plastics, plastic processing back ground includes cycle development for new tooling, mold process validation for tolerance and cycle stability. Trouble shooting of problematic molds to determine if the problem is the mold, the plastic or the molding machine.
