Description: The Debears Diamonds Orders System is a Consumers based E commerce Web site
designed, developed and integrated for Debears Diamonds Asias Specific, Singapore. It is
an intranet project, which can be viewed and accessed only by Debears Diamonds wholesale
consumers in Asia. This site facilitates the wholesale consumers in Asia to purchase the
different types of Diamonds in different sizes,quantities, polished/unpolished etc.
Involved in designing and developing the web site user friendly using ASP. A Registration
screen is designed and developed for the new wholesale consumers in order to get their
user id and password from Debears Diamonds. When a valid consumer enters the site, he can
select different types of Diamonds displayed in the Products Catalogue and simultaneously
he can select their sizes, quantity, and polished/unpolished from the screen.
The selected products are placed in a basket of checkboxes checked for which he is given
a choice to uncheck for unwanted products. When a final order is placed, the prices are
retrieved from the SQL Server Database and calculated according to type, size, quantity,
polished/unpolished. The submitted order will be updated to the SQL Server Database and
the confirmation order in the format of Debears Diamonds is displayed to the consumer
which can be taken as a print out and also send it through email.

This project has been developed using a combination of Html and Active Server Pages (ASP).
ASP pages are used to call ActiveX components to perform tasks, such as connecting to a
database. The student's selects the project by submitting and checking the corresponding
project ID assigned to the project. They check the status of the project (approved or
rejected), and also select the team members restricted to their Cluster code. The system
will generate dynamically the maximum number of entries of team members for each project
selected. On successful submission of the project, the System will send mails to all the
team members and to the immediate Supervisor's about the selection of the project.
