My responsibilities at Horizon/CMS Healthcare include AS/400 systems
and personnel management, coordinating Technical Assistance personnel
with problem resolution on multiple AS/400 and networked PC systems,
The AS/400 systems are at a variety of OS/400 versions (V2R3, V3R05,
V3R1, V3R2, V3R6, and V3R7). We are also an IBM beta test sight for
OS/400 Version 4. Additional duties include call routing, remote/local
customer support, software distribution of all corporate and remote
AS/400 systems, Software 2000 security, menu, and user management. I
have also assisted with backup and recovery planning, application
distribution via internal PTF system, communications, connectivity,
and system upgrades including CISC to RISC planning. Horizon/CMS
Healthcare currently has 5 AS/400 systems at the corporate
headquarters and approximately 150 AS/400 systems at remote sights
connected via direct dial up and WAN connections via TCP/IP.
