B.W. Broadcasting Service Company, Weslaco, TX

Provide contract and consulting services for broadcast and production companies. Install, maintain and repair audio, video, RF, and other equipment. Design, coordinate, supervise and perform audio, video and RF installations. Serve in management, operations or technical rolls as needed. Assist with budgeting and planning.

Contract Engineer and Consultant - 2006 to Present

Border to Border Communications and TRC Engineering, Kerrville, TX and Zapata, TX

Primary RF Engineer. Responsible for construction, maintenance and repair of Border's wireless telephone and internet system, microwave backhauls and WiFi equipment. Prepared training material and trained personnel on the operation and maintainence of radio systems. Consultant for TRC on RF engineering and FCC matters. Served as Project Manager for all Border to Border Radio projects and all physical plant construction and upgrades including new and replacement buildings and communications towers. Served in various other capacities as needed including Border Operation Manager, Inspector on fiber optic projects, Landman, general radio and telephone technician and installer.

Contract Engineer - 2007 to 2011

Qualcomm MediaFLO and FLO TV, San Diego, CA

Maintained and repaired four Mobile TV digital UHF transmitter sites in McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville and Corpus Christi Texas. The McAllen, Harlingen and Brownsville sites were a Single Frequency Network. These sites broadcast the FLO TV signal to Verizon and AT&T cellular telephones.

Contract Engineer - 2000 to 2004

Open TV and Wink Communications, San Francisco, CA

Primary troubleshooter for Wink Interactive TV signal issues with ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX networks, their affiliates, DirecTV, Charter, Comcast and Adelphia cable systems. Monitored and performed data analysis of Wink signal performance and corrected problems at any location needed. Installed and repaired Wink/OpenTV owned equipment at network television facilities and cable systems in Texas, California, Missouri, Tennessee, Michigan and Illinois.

Chief Engineer - 1980 to 1998

KRGV-TV, Weslaco, TX

Responsible for audio, video and transmission quality and FCC technical compliance. Supervised all engineers, technicians and operators. Prepared and administered capital and operating budgets. Specified and purchased all broadcast, communications, computer and transmission equipment. Served as owner's representative and construction supervisor for a multi-million dollar upgrade to the physical plant and construction of two remote offices.

As General Manager, responsible for all station operations. As Chief Engineer, supervised all technical personnel and maintained all broadcast equipment.

Performed and supervised all maintenance and repair of broadcast equipment. Supervised all technicians and engineering operators.
