Theoretical Physics
G.P.A 4.0/4.0
University of Notre Dame, B.S., 2009
Physics and Mathematics Dual Major
G.P.A 3.97/4.0 (4.0 in major)
SPECIAL SKILLS
Research
> 2008 CERN summer program. The object of my computational project was to determine and to propose optimal design and configurations for a future collider. Specifically, I developed code that optimized the cost of my design while minimizing energy loss from radiation based off of several adjustable cost parameters.
> Research assistant in theoretical physics at Notre Dame. The analytics required painstaking attention to detail. A prominent contribution of my research involved checking and troubleshooting my advisor`s own calculations. This included a crucial contribution correcting a particular error that enabled us to move forward with publishing our final results.
> Research Assistant in theoretical physics at UCSB. The work has heavily involved both analytical and numerical calculations. My upcoming publication will involve a calculation connected to an experimental setup relevant to the advancement of quantum computing.
Writing
> Published highly technical papers in theoretical physics.
> Wrote the foreword and several subsections of a book on training and fat loss by Timothy Ward of Fitness Consulting Group.
Computer Experience
> Programming experience in C++ and Python, mathematical software packages such as Mathematica and MATLAB, Excel, and LaTeX.
Presenting
> Prepared several presentations throughout physics career, the most notable of which involved presenting my summer research to all the international students of the CERN summer student program.
Teaching
> Tutored students in both Physics and Mathematics at Notre Dame.
> Teacher`s assistant for both undergraduate and graduate physics courses at UCSB.
