MARKVIEW is an image documenting system. Markview is used for the Install and Furnish of

Garage doors business. Each Purchase Order received from the stores is scanned as a TIF

image and stored on the document server. This document (image) flows through the system

depending on the Workflow defined in the System. The Workflow determines the next queue

where the document has to go by triggering the Rules. The System is designed as a Web

Client and Oracle as back end database.

Responsibilities:

Performed Oracle Database Administration activities such as Installation of software,

creating databases for all environments, Upgrading the existing databases, planning and

Implementing the Backup and Recovery strategies for the Production databases.

Creation and maintenance of Database Objects.

Extensively used Oracle Export, Import utilities to export and import data into the

server installations, database implementations, systems migration and setting up

maintenance scripts for GMS, GISB and EnGenius customers on Windows NT/2000.

data is extracted from the Billing System in form of flat files and loaded into the

database on a daily basis. End users generate reports from the Data warehouse application

database.

Churn management is a term used in the telecommunications industry to describe the

process of ensuring that profitable customers stay with a particular company. Data

warehousing is used to gather data relating to churn from an organization's operational

systems, such as billing, and organize it into a form suitable for analysis. A data

warehouse allows the relevant operational data to be stored separately from the

transactional systems themselves so that reporting on the data does not impact processing

speed, and organized according to units that helps marketing analysts for customer

retention.
