Precise Land Surveying Mesquite, Tx
AREA MANAGER
I started at this company not knowing a thing about surveying and over the years I learned and worked each and every department, thus getting promoted to Manager. Now, I can do any part of the surveying process required. I have managed as many as 46 employees at once in several different areas. I worked with my HR department and hired my own employees as well as working with accounting and doing my own payroll. I recently moved into outside Management of the company's clients and now I am over a client base of about 300. I also work accounts receivable with this new position.
March 2007 to October 2008
Lime Media Rowlett, Tx
ADVERTISING AND MARKETING REP
This was a part time job that I worked some nights and weekends aside of my main job. I traveled a lot and mainly drove a box truck with advertising banners and scrolling Ads on them. I stopped working here once I bought me a home because I no longer had the Free time to work both a full and part time job.
January 2000 to November 2006
Garland, Tx
Worked From Home
I have a sister who is disabled so I moved here to the Dallas area and lived with my sister, brother in law and their children and helped care for them. I picked up on and off cash paying jobs only. In 2006, I decided to return to the work force.
July 1990 to September 2005
Wal-Mart Distribution 6016 New Braunfels, Tx
RECEIVING CLERK/ FORKLIFT DRIVER
I began this job as just a part time night job in the receiving department to supplement my full time job. I ended up staying here for 5 years unloading tractor trailers, driving a forklifts, and traveleing around the country training associates. After my 3rd year there I was made a training manager and I was able to travel all over the US training at other Wal-Mart centers. In my spare time when I was traveling and training, I worked as a stand-up forklift driver inside the warehouse. I picked up freight at the docks and delivered them to the assigned storage space in the warehouse. My highlight of this job was being able to go to Bentonville, Arkansas to the Corporate office and actually meeting Sam Walton and his wife before Sam eventually passed away. I was able to work both this job and manage a restaurant for several years, but then I had to make a choice and being young I chose the job making the most money and ended up having to devote my time to cooking and being a kitchen manager.
May 1987 to August 1999
Cafe On the Square San Marcos, Tx
HEAD COOK/ KITCHEN MANAGER
I had several duties here, but the main job was simply to hire and manage the back of the house for this restaurant. I began here as a cook while in college but after a few years the owner & Chef Gary Moore put me in charge. My duties consisted of making schedules for cooks and dishwashers, orders product from several food vendors, and mainly insuring the quality of the food coming out of the kitchen. I manged a host of people over the years at this company. I had to follow strict guidelines and specs to make sure our kitchen was in full operational compliance. I left this job because it got slow and the owner ended up selling the company. Therefore I moved to the Dallas area for a new start.
