Designed, built and brought to market improved wafer-ashing equipment. Coordinated multiple tasks with mechanical, electrical and software engineering and manufacturing departments and sourced parts from 3rd party vendors. Delivered the equipment in a 9 months time frame allowing for a 5 percentage increased market share and improved profit margin by 20 percentage compared to older generation equipment.
Custom designed a new wafer etching equipment for a major customer. The new design resulted in annual sales of $5M to the client, which became the company's number one customer.
Led a cost reduction engineering redesign for existing equipment by collaborating with 3 mechanical engineers to redesign sub-systems, shared knowledge with manufacturing on streamlining parts assembly and sourcing more cost effective products from outside vendors. New design produced a 30 percentage reduction in cost of material and 15 percentage in labor hours.
Produced detailed assembly drawings for entire product line. New drawings streamlined the manufacturing process, reducing manufacturing man hours by over 20 percentage and improving quality and reliability of products.
