Vandenberg AFB, CA. Plan, engineer, and manage the modification, installation,
operation, and maintenance of voice, video, and data transmission systems.
These systems support Western Range assets at Vandenberg AFB for use during
commercial and Department of Defense (DoD) satellite and ballistic missile
operational test launches. Directly supervise two people and provide direction
for over 100 contractor personnel and $235 million of Western Range launch
support communication systems. Implemented launch communication plans for
several satellite and ballistic launches, including three Delta Motorola
Iridium, one Delta Argos, one Titan IV, two Pegasus, and five Minuteman III
launches. Selected as Vandenberg AFB 1998 Communications Officer of the year.

- Aug 97Computer Security Engineer, Air Force Information Warfare
Center, Kelly AFB, San Antonio, TX. As a Computer Security Assessment Team
Chief, led four-person engineering teams which performed Computer Security
Engineering Assessments on computer networks at several Air Force Bases and DoD
Exercises across the world. Briefed assessment results to management and
prepared final reports describing the findings and the recommended solutions.
These solutions successfully provided fixes for over 10,000 DoD computer and
network systems of all types of hardware/software configurations and
classification levels. Between assessments, developed, installed, and
maintained computer security tools, performed penetration testing on fielded
and developmental DoD computer systems, trained Air Force computer security
engineers, and authored security papers for the Air Force. Additional
responsibilities included responding to intrusion incidents to determine the
damage, recovering the compromised systems and assisting in criminal
investigations, installing network intrusion detection systems on LANs
containing several thousand hosts, and performing system administration on
office LANs containing 17 Windows NT and 15 Sun systems.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Presented technical material to several Air Force Base Commanders and DoD
Exercise Commanders.
Provided computer security training to hundreds of system and network
administrators across the Air Force.
Presented general computer security seminars to VIPs and hundreds of personnel
at Kelly AFB, TX.
