I have 2 years of experience in web development. I worked for Broadbean Technology, a company who develop online recruitment software. I also created EJmix, a social networking service for people learning foreign languages. I am passionate about IT/ web development and want to further my career in this industry.

IT Experience

PHP – I created http://ejmix.com/ and http://apps.facebook.com/ejmixfriends/ in this language using procedural programming. I’ve also updated CodeIgniter websites while carrying out a one-month internship at a digital agency in London. I’m currently updating Ejmix using CodeIgniter and making a mobile website.

JavaScript – jQuery is used throughout EJmix for AJAX and other functions. I also use some jQuery UI widgets.

HTML, CSS – I make sure content displays correctly on all major browsers.

XML – I became familiar with XML while working for Broadbean as this is one of the main formats they use for posting job adverts.

MySQL – I use PHP/SQL to query ejmix’s MySQL database.

Facebook – I created a Facebook app for Ejmix. The app needs to be authorised by the Facebook user and uses Facebook Dialog boxes to post to the user’s wall/ invite friends to the app. I also made a cron script to update my Facebook pages.

Twitter – I use a cron script to update my Twitter accounts.

Tokbox – I created a video chat room on ejmix using their API.

Software –Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash & Fireworks, phpMyAdmin, Xampp, WinSCP, Filezilla, PuTTY, Firebug, Google Analytics and Notepad++.
