Responsible for liaison with practice management system vendor in communicating new programming needs and/or software support requirements. Acted as Operations Manager performing general office manager duties when Office Administrator was not available.

Store Manager. Business was retail gift shop specializing in Gourmet Gift Baskets and Imprintable Stationery. Played important role in initial start-up and opening of this business.

Business Office Manager. Duties included sole responsibility for operation of business office handling accounts receivable and collections for this lone-physician medical practice. Responsibility also included supervision of insurance department and front office operations. Encouraged and led eventual transition from manual office procedures to computerization. Changes included computerization of patient social information and medical history, patient appointment scheduling, patient billing (accounts receivable and collections), electronic insurance filing, etc. Served as liaison between practice management system support and our

office when there was a problem with the computer system. Computerization changes proved to enhance the productivity of each department in our office. Also, in the process of being trained to eventually step-in as overall Office Administrator upon retirement of then current Administrator. Upon sudden death of physician/owner in March of 1994, duties focused on extensive recruitment of a possible replacement physician. After failing to interest a qualified replacement, focus shifted to total liquidation of medical practice and eventual sale of building.

National Tire Wholesale (August 1988 to October 1991)

Store Manager. Business is Decatur, Georgia unit of a then 16 store franchise representing one of the largest volume tire retailers in the United States. Duties included complete responsibility for sales, marketing and daily operations at this location.
