PROFESSIONAL GOALS To become a Senior Developer. To become a skilled
manager of people, systems and ideas. To enhance my skills as a DBA.
EDUCATION Brigham Young University CS BS
EXPERIENCE
Software Programmer - Developer, Corel
January 1998
to Present -- Java programming, I worked on the database
team and supported groups writing Enterprise Java Beans. I initiated
and wrote the container for container-managed beans, currently an
internal application that saved developers more than 60% of
development time. This saved time by shielding them from having to
learn about Corba, Enterprise Java Beans or the Poet Database. I put
my knowledge of these technologies and the combined knowledge of the
database team into the container application. We had to meet whatever
requirements other teams had in speed, architecture, and data storage.
I lead our team in generating code to add these technologies to the
Beans that developers wrote.
Project Lead - Senior Programmer, OpenNet Corp.
December 1995
to December 1997 -- Java programming, Informix DBA,
Sybase DBA, MS SQL 6.5 DBA, Informix 4gl programming, CGI WWW
development, Netscape Enterprise Server Certification, Unix system
administration
Trained and lead six programmers in writing Java and Informix
applications. Directed projects from the design stage through
deployment. Developed Internet applications that integrated accounting
and sales order information using shopping cart features and CGI
scripts that access relational databases. Coordinated the
implementation of OpenNet's Enterprise software and provided training.
My last Java project was a multi-threaded, distributed, expert system.
All information and business logic was stored in relational databases
and accessed through JDBC.
