Overview:
With the Analyst / Application Developer role, I was challenged to help design and create the eHR Kiosk. The eHR Kiosk is a self serve website for the employees, containing over 50 web applications within the Air Canada portal. The Kiosk’s main client is HR but is used by everyone at the company from unionized laborers to senior management. The applications mainly automated HR business logic, business workflows and approval workflows. Our main goal was to standardize internal business procedures by converting all internal business paper form workflows to online automated workflows.
Achievements:
After completing a 2 month internship at Air Canada in 2007, I was hired at Air Canada. I helped design, create and implement an online toolbox called the eHR Kiosk. The Kiosk has proven to save the company millions of dollars in reworks and improved efficiency. I had over 15 permanent web applications that I alone designed, developed and maintained. The Kiosk ended the year in 2007 with 5000 total employee transactions and in 2012 the Kiosk generated on average 10 000 employee transactions per month.
