Regional Deputy Security Director, Jacksonville, Florida (2010-2012)
Oversaw the performance, compliance, and strategic alignment of 22 Navy security departments at installations across the southeastern region, reporting and presenting to the commanding two-star Admiral and his staff on a weekly basis. Served as the region’s subject matter expert in monitoring potential terrorist and criminal activity and sat on the Crisis Action Team handling the NIMS Program response to all manner of natural disasters and other regional crises.
Dramatically enhanced communication and responsiveness among this large region’s network of security teams, Reserve Centers, ROTC units, naval hospitals, and shipyards by launching a notification matrix system for disseminating up-to-date information on threats and crisis situations.Played a leadership role in strategizing a comprehensive force protection plan for a major public event in New Orleans.Championed knowledge sharing and professional development for more than 300 regional staff members by creating a regional reference library focused on such key topics as force protection, antiterrorism, law enforcement, crime prevention, and physical security.
Antiterrorism Officer, Bahrain and Florida (2008-2010)
Managed a comprehensive antiterrorism program, first overseeing this operation for the entire southeastern US region and maintaining program accountability on a 14-month deployment to Bahrain in support of the Expeditionary Strike Group Five (ESG5). Directed the development and preparation of proactive force protection and contingency plans, including emergency management planning, for large networks of naval installations, hospitals, reserve stations, and combat-deployed ships in Bahrain.

Enabled the ESG5 Commander and staff to provide critical response to Pakistan’s 2010 flood disaster by leading operational planning for creation of a multidiscipline scenario and command and control architecture.Conducted a comprehensive inspection and assessment of the region’s 18 security departments, ensuring complete compliance with DoD and Navy regulations.Led the review and overhaul of the Critical Infrastructure Protection plan and delivered a streamlined approach for the program’s 250 infrastructures that was approved by CENTCOM.

Led a 726-member security division and ran a $17M budget in the delivery of protective and police services across Navy operations in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Strategically allocated and assigned resources to ensure both day-to-day and mission-specific coverage.
Achieved complete satisfactory resolution of more than 100 emergent situations while overseeing the planning and execution of complex security requirements for such high profile events as visits from the President of the United States and other high ranking foreign dignitaries.Made core contributions to the development of integrated security response approaches among the host nations and defense forces by coordinating the division’s engagement in a major, multinational antiterrorism exercise.
