and Ngapartji multimedia centre. In
this course, we were given lectures by people from the industry, and we
Visited several companies. The main
focus was to improve the following:-
1) Time management skills.
2) Project management.
3) Customer service skills.
4) Workplace Communication skills.
5) Public Speaking.
SKILLS
Internet development & E-commerce:
Internet/Intranet development and E-commerce are some of my favourite fields,
and I can write scripts, applets, servers and design sophisticated web
sites. I have strong knowledge of HTML, Java, and Java script. I
have advanced knowledge of Cold Fusion (including CFML). I have some knowledge
of many web servers like MS personal web server and O'reilly's webSite
Pro. I also have good knowledge of ODBC and some knowledge of JDBC.
Software Engineering: Designing
systems appeals to me, I have been involved in more than 6 major group
projects. I have done two subjects about advanced Software
Engineering techniques, Software Engineering 1B and Software Engineering
2B. I like team work, and being part of a team. I also have
strong problem solving skills, strong analysis skills and strong calculus
background.
Programming in Java: is something
I enjoy doing. I have done many projects in Java including a chat
server/client, a search engine and a diary system. I also have written
some applets. I am a member of Java Lobby, which can be found at

Programming in C: I have excellent
knowledge of programming in C, I have programmed in C throughout my 3 years
of university, I have written many programs using C, programs involving
binary trees, a web server, file processing programs, and many other programs.
I have some knowledge of TCP/IP.
Programming in C++: I have used
C++ in a subject called object oriented systems, I have written more than
15 programs in C++, I have some exposure to Rational Rose, and I have good
knowledge of Object Oriented design including UML, and object oriented
modeling.
Other programming languages: I have
some knowledge of programming in BASIC and COBOL. I'm learning how
to program in VB.
SQL: I have the ability to write
sophisticated SQL queries. I have been involved in writing SQL queries
for three projects (during university) and 2 projects in my work experience.
I have excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL, Postgress SQL and MS SQL.
Databases: I like designing
databases (specifically writing data dictionaries), I have knowledge of
Oracle, Postgress and MS Access databases and on JDBC and ODBC. I
have used Oracle in a subject called database systems.
Multimedia: Proficient in Adobe
Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Director. I have strong knowledge
of design and multimedia concepts.
Programming environments: I have
programmed under Windows 95, DOS, UNIX and LINUX. I have used Windows
95, DOS and UNIX for 3 years. I have used Windows 3.1 and LINUX for
a couple of months. I have some exposure to Windows NT.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
I work hard to achieve my goals, I'm easy
going, I like team work and I like to be good at what I do, however I can
take criticism with this kind of work. I also try to improve my knowledge
continuously to coincide with the great leaps expected in this work and

Duties included fixing and assembling
PC's and trouble shooting. I worked in Sowden
Technical Solutions for three months, I learned from this experience how
to deal with customers, and how to
set up Windows 95, and how to assemble PC's. I have
also learnt how to get along with a
small group of people, there were only four people
working there including me.

Duties:
1) Design and development of the company's
online Quality assurance system. 100% HTML & Javascript.
2) Redesigning the company's contacts database.
Including Porting the database from FileMaker to Access and redesigning
it.
3) Developing a database viewer for a large
firm, this viewer is designed to view subsets of an Access database, the
database viewer enables the company to search the subset database, and
to link data from it to some corresponding images of documents. Cold
fusion, CFML/HTML, and SQL are being used to develop the database viewer.

I'm currently designing a web site for
a company called C.W projects. This company is based in south
Australia, it is a company which manufactures roller shutters, roller doors
etc. The web site will be launched within the next two weeks. JavaScript,
Java applets and HTML are being used to develop the web site.
