EXPERIENCE:

Vitel Communications, LLc. Cable Technician III, Atlanta GA March 15, 2005 until present.

Install Video Cable which includes setting up and installing digital converter terminals, High definition converters and dual tuner digital video recorders to household televisions. Other responsibilities include installing computer networks for both residential and commercial customers using cable modems and routers for high speed internet services ranging from 6mbs to 25mbs speed. I also install VoIP digital phone services for both residential and commercial users.

Solectron Global Services. Diagnostic Tech Memphis, TN January 2000 - 2002

As a diagnostic, my responsibilities were diagnosing and repairing warranty and non-warranty Toshiba computers (desk top and lap top) to the components level and upgrades. The upgrades included the removal and replacement damaged hard drives, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, memory sticks, system boards, LCD screens on lap tops and any component a customer wants to upgrade. I also installed operating system (the Microsoft Windows) in case a unit needs search operation. Other duties were to log my diagnoses and solutions in my company's data base.

Henkel and McCoy, Inc. Data Cable tech Memphis, TN March 2000 - June 2001

Installed cat-3, cat-5e and cat-6 for voice and data, terminated at the RJ-45 patch panel and 568a/b female jack. I was leading the installation team to test all cables for possible cross connections and line breakages. I was responsible for the installation of fiber optic from one main distribution unit to another main distribution unit that consist of Cisco router, switches and IBM computers and servers in the Memphis area school system.

Sam's Town Kansas City Casino. Electronics technician Kansas City, MO. February 1995- February 2000

Performed moves, conversions and carried on minor repairs on slot machines (games) on the casino floor and electronics video games in the casino sports bar.

In 1997 I assumed the responsibility of a shift repair supervisor. At this position my responsibilities included the supervision and training of the techs to repair the system boards of the slot machines (games) using schematics and diagrams to troubleshoot to the components level. Other duties include the preparation of paper works for the machine moves and conversion and overseeing the slot technicians on duty.

I graduated with an associate degree in applied science-electronics technology. (Occupational) 2160 acquired hours including telecommunications, micro computer hardware, basic machine language programming, troubleshoot and professionalism training.
